PENSACOLA — Dr. Bruce V. Ouellette, a neurologist, has joined West Florida Medical Group and the Medical Staff of West Florida Healthcare. Ouellette’s practice will focus on treating inpatients at the 515-bed acute care hospital.
Ouellette earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Following medical school, he completed his residency in Neurology at the LSU Health Sciences Center/Charity Hospital, also in New Orleans. He is board certified in neurology.
Ouellette practiced for 14 years at White Wilson Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach before joining the Medical Staff of West Florida Healthcare. He also served for 10 years as medical director of the Stroke Center at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center, where he developed the stroke program and successfully directed the center’s efforts to obtain Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center Certification.
Ouellette has special interest in movement disorders, epilepsy, stroke, electrophysiology and neurobehavioral disorders, including dementia.
