MILTON – Fifty years ago the United States called upon young men and women to go to a place called Vietnam to fight Communism. During that long war, 58,270 Americans lost their lives and are now memorialized on "The Wall" in Washington D.C. This year, the care takers of "The Wall", the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, has taken on the project of posting photos of all those listed.
The photos will be displayed online and at a new Education Center between "The Wall" and the Lincoln Memorial. With the help of the Vietnam Veterans of America, ten states have completed their share. Florida's effort is spearheaded by John Thomstatter of the Villages and Forest Hope is helping to complete Northwest Florida, working from Gainesville. They need your help in locating family or friends of those service members.
