MILTON — The Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County will host a community meeting to discuss Florida Healthy Babies.
Florida Healthy Babies is a collaborative statewide initiative designed to positively influence social determinants of health and reduce racial disparities in infant mortality.
The meeting will take place at 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday, June 8 at the Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County, Main Conference Room, 5527 Stewart St., Milton.
“Although the infant mortality rate in Santa Rosa County remains relatively low, the loss of even one child is a tragedy,” said DOH-Santa Rosa Administrator Sandra L. Park-O’Hara. “We want every baby born in Santa Rosa County to be a healthy baby and will be collaborating with our community partners to help ensure positive birth outcomes.”
