PENSACOLA — The Florida Highway Patrol will conduct a Comprehensive Roadside Safety Checkpoint between 8 p.m. and 12 a.m. Friday, June 10.
The checkpoint location will be on State Road 30 — U.S. Highway 98 — west of Veterans Way in Escambia County.
During the operation, vehicles will be stopped to check for driver impairment. If impairment is detected, roadside sobriety testing will be performed on site.
Approximately 25 uniformed officers, along with support personnel from the Gulf Coast MADD chapter, will participate.
Warning devices will be placed in strategic locations for the public’s protection and safety.
Members of the public can call *FHP (*347) if they see a driver whom they believe is impaired.
