Accreditation team seeks public comments about Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office

MILTON — A team of assessors from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation will arrive June 28 to examine all aspects of the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services.

The sheriff’s office must comply with approximately 260 standards to maintain accredited status. Many of the standards are critical to life, health and safety issues.

As part of the on-site assessment, agency members and the general public may offer comments to the assessment team. A copy of the standards is available through the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office’s accreditation manager at 981- 2242.

Residents can write comments about the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office’s ability to meet accreditation standards.
