MILTON — Hank Hard, a member of Boy Scout Troop 427, earned the Eagle Scout rank during a June 7 ceremony.
For his Eagle project, Hank built a picnic table, benches and a fire ring at the Yellow River State Park on behalf of the Northwest Florida Trail Association.
The Milton High School graduate was a four-year member of the Mighty Black and Gold Band. His involvement in scouting began in 2003, when he joined Cub Scouts in the first grade.
He said the highlight of his Cub Scout experience was winning the Pinewood Derby.
Hank’s Eagle honor follows several years of camping trips, weeklong winter and summer camps, earning merit badges and working with his troop on community projects.
