Volunteers sought for first-ever Santa Rosa Day of Service

Calling all volunteers for the first-ever Santa Rosa Day of Service on Saturday, July 23.

The largest project submitted to date needs 100 people to bag produce for agencies in Santa Rosa County that feed the hungry. Another group requests help to build two handicap ramps. Both individual and teams of volunteers may register online to be paired with projects.

Organizations are encouraged to recommend projects online to be matched with resources. Submit your project for consideration, then ask your employees, co-workers, friends and family to set this day aside to work together to make a diffference and improve your community.

Sponsors, both for materials and monetary donations, are needed to fund more resource-intensive projects. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available online. For more information or to make an in-kind donation, contact Daniel Hahn at (850) 983-4606 or visit www.santarosa.fl.gov/dayofservice.
