MILTON — More active adult activities are coming to the Guy Thompson Community Center.
The center now hosts an artist group from 5-8 p.m. Fridays at the 5629 Byrom St. center.
“We are very pleased to see interest for art growing,” said Milton Parks Director John Norton. “A couple of years ago we started our first art group on Wednesday mornings and now we are offering a second meeting for those who would (like) to exchange ideas and work in the evenings.”
The Wednesday group meets weekly from 9 a.m. to noon at the center.
The center also hosts a group who call themselves “Beaders Anonymous.”
People who like to design beaded jewelry will gather to exchange ideas and work on their craft from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesdays.
Call 983-5466 for more information on these or any of the other programs at the Guy Thompson Community Center.
