MILTON — Artist Ellen Atchison says the environment constantly inspires her.
"I draw a good portion of my inspiration for my art from the beautiful scenery I am surrounded by,” she said.
“Having been raised on the Gulf Coast has provided me a memory book of sorts, full of imagery — beautiful skies, blue and green waters, white sands, fresh and salty waters for swimming and fishing."
“Whether it's a beach scene, flora, birds, or the never-ending ‘new’ beloved pet, I am never without a project,” she said. “I take classes at the Dragonfly (Gallery) and I am always learning.”
You can see Atchison work 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays at the gallery, 6815 Caroline St. in Milton.
