MILTON — The Florida Highway Patrol’s Office of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Troop I in Milton will host an educational outreach next month.
The event is 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 1 at the Florida Department of Transportation’s Milton Operations Center Conference Room, 6025 Old Bagdad Highway, Milton.
The session will focus on annual wrecker inspection procedures and proper methods for securing loads, among other topics.
“The Division of Florida Highway Patrol of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is authorized to establish a wrecker operator system using qualified, reputable wrecker operators for removal and storage of wrecked or disabled vehicles from a crash scene or for removal and storage of abandoned vehicles,” an event spokesperson said.
Motor carriers working in the towing industry can attend, but just 30 seats are available.
