JAY — Jay High School’s Future Farmers of America chapter had an eventful year.
Students practiced parliamentary procedures, grooming, raising and showing animals while also running for various offices.
●Some JHS middle school FFA members competed at the organization’s state convention this past month and placed fourth.
●JHS senior Joseph Roberts, who competed at the state level in tractor driving, placed fifth overall.
●Madelyn Godwin, who competed at the state convention and ran for District 1 president, gave an “awesome” speech and was elected to the post.
“We are so very proud of all our Jay FFA members and members throughout Santa Rosa County,” an FFA spokesperson said. “The FFA students in this county have been working extremely hard these past few years and have definitely made an impact in our society.
“I expect even more great accomplishments from these students.”
