JAY — The University of Florida Extension Farm Field Day is coming soon.
The event is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 25 at the West Florida Research and Education Center, 4253 Experiment Road, Highway 182, in Jay.
Field Day topics include:
●Weed control tools for row crops
●Pre-emergence weed control for sesame production
●Herbicide programs for conventional and 2, 4-D resistant cotton
●Peanut, grain sorghum, cotton and soybean varieties
●Re-emerging diseases in cotton
●Sesame production for the Panhandle
●Protected agriculture
●Peanut diseases
CCA and CEU credits are available.
Registration is at 8 a.m.; the research tour is 8:30 a.m.; and the catered lunch is at noon.
