MILTON — West Florida Baptist Church will present "Love My Neighbor Day” to bring the community closer together.
The event is 4 p.m. Aug. 27 at 5621 Highway 90, Milton.
“The idea behind the day is to give our community a way to get to know each other so that we can love each other better,” an event spokesperson said. “We want to fight back against the fear and division that has been taking place around our country.”
The event — free to attend — will feature inflatables, face painting, crafts, police cars, ambulances, fire trucks, hamburgers and hotdogs.
“We have reached out to the law enforcement community, the African American community, and the military community,” the spokesperson said.
See the event’s Facebook page and more information.
