REVELATIONS AT T.R. JACKSON HIGH

I went to T.R. Jackson and entered Ms. Womack's third-grade class. I had Ms. Lowery, Mr. Jamison, Mr. Redding, Mr. Salters for band, Dr. Carstarphen, Ms. Elliott, Mr. Collins, Ms. Mike, Mr. Sanchez, Ms. Mamie Coleman, Ms. Dillard, Mrs. Parker, and those are the ones I remember and cherish in my thoughts.

The school had a fantastic football team and I remember (a coach) roping off a section of the football stands for "Whites Only" as a young girl. I always thought that was weird ’cause we had moved to Milton from Newport, Rhode Island and had all white teachers and classmates.

At that moment, I realized we, as African Americans, were somehow different.

‘HILLARY HAS NO FEAR OF GOD?’

(Chrys) Holley’s got gall asserting that “Hillary has no fear of God!” (Letter to the editor, “One vote can make a difference,” Oct. 1-4, 2016 edition).

… Holley knows nothing about Hillary’s relationship with God … You made the assertion, Ms. Holley; the onus is on you to prove it.

CATCHING UP WITH SEAN CANNING

This is awesome! (“Milton man among people with disabilities working toward independence,” Oct. 1-4, 2016 edition.”)And he is a good/hard working man. I used to see him all the time at Winn-Dixie when I worked at Park Ave. I wondered where he went to.
