Art grants available for Santa Rosa teachers

(Special to the Press Gazette)

MILTON — The Santa Rosa Art Association Inc. is offering up to $100 art grants to individual classroom teachers and up to $250 for teams or grade-level teachers in Santa Rosa County for use in the 2013-2014 school term.

The money used must fund art education projects of some kind (creation, history or appreciation) and produce tangible proof of completion.

Teachers applying for a grant may submit as individuals or as a team, may be assigned to any grade level, and do not have to be art teachers.

Evidence of satisfactory completion may be art products, documents, video or photographs, among other things. Teachers who are selected will receive funds in their school accounts by January, with expected completion and documentation by each school year’s end.

See more information and applications for the grants on the Art Association website, www.sraamilton.com.
