PACE — The Pace High School Band dominated against Milton High School Mighty Black and Gold Band during the third annual 'Bring the Heat' competition.
The event — held Tuesday night at the Whataburger restaurant location on U.S. Highway 90 in Pace — included a jalapeno-eating contest, a drumline competition and a challenge to see which high school band registered the most fans.
With the fan and jalapeno-eating contests, the PHS band received an additional $1,500 in funding.
