Military shouldn't pay back enlistment bonuses

Dear editor,

Now hear this! The government wants our military to pay back enlistment bonuses offered for serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, some executed in California in 2005, 2006 and 2010. In some cases, the amounts are $15,ooo.

How disgusting!

I don’t know the whole story. I do know the Department of Defense is “looking into it,” reported on TV and should stop it now! The Commander-in-Chief, who boasted of using his pen on various occasions, like 258 executive orders, should use his pen now, without delay, to rescind; declare the payback orders null and void! He can stop it dead in its track!

Military families don’t need any more stress! Our hearts are stirred, grateful for those who agreed to serve in those dangerous areas, not knowing they would ever return to their loved ones!

I say God bless them all; may He station angels round about them, protecting them.

God bless us all as only He can! Maranatha!
