MILTON — A traffic stop-turned-chase ended in a crash and an arrest, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office.
Jack Butts called the Press Gazette and said he saw a high-speed chase headed down Dogwood Drive; the most law enforcement cars he'd ever seen.
So we checked it out.
Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office Lt. Shane Tucker said a deputy stopped a vehicle and discovered the male driver had felony warrants. Upon this discovery, Tucker said the driver fled.
Tucker said there were three SRSO deputies in active pursuit with others trailing behind, assisted by Milton Police Department officers.
He said the suspect crashed into a mailbox and a car in city limits but there were no injuries and he is under arrest.
More details will follow as authorities release them.
