MILTON — Milton High School students, faculty and staffers collected a room full of nonperishable goods to feed Santa Rosa County’s needy.

MHS Student Government Association, with the leadership of sponsors Tracey Worrell and Katrina Dawson, moved all collected items into Principal Tim Short’s office. The food filled his office almost level with his desk.

SGA then moved the items onto a truck to get the actual collection weighed. First Baptist Church of Milton received the food.

In addition to supporting those in need, the drive was a competition against Pace High School to see which school can collect the most food. MHS’s theme was "Kick Pace’s Can.”
