3 things to do this week in Santa Rosa County

1. GET IN THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT. The 7th annual Festival of Trees is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19 at the Imogene Theatre in downtown Milton. The Santa Rosa Kids’ House fundraiser begins 5 p.m. Friday. Attendees can view the trees for a $5 donation; attendees ages 12 and younger enter free. Santa will be present during the event. On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a marketplace featuring a variety of vendors will be available, with the Gala Night scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Contact the Kids’ House, 623-1112, for tickets.

2. EXPLORE CREEK INDIAN HERITAGE. The 26th annual Santa Rosa County Creek Indian Tribe Pow Wow is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday at the Tribal Grounds, 4750 Willard Norris Road in Milton. The event, which is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, will feature Native American dancing, storytelling, heritage displays, food and more. 3. CELEBRATE FALL IN GULF BREEZE. The city will host its first Autumn Breezes Fall Festival 2-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Gulf Breeze Community Center and Shoreline Park, 800 Shoreline Drive. The city will recognize Gulf Breeze High School staffers and students, including the Gulf Breeze Dolphin football team, band and cheerleaders. A community marketplace featuring local artists, farmers offering fresh produce and vendors with unique gifts and items will open at 2 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for tasting and purchase. There will be kids’ activities and games, including a cakewalk, throughout the afternoon. The GBHS Sound Wave Marching Band will entertain festivalgoers beginning at 5:45 p.m. Recognition of the football, cheerleading and dance teams will follow.
