Panhandle Community Theatre sets auditions for dinner theater

PACE — Panhandle Community Theatre needs three men, two women and two of either gender for its production of "Soul Mate Central."

Auditions will take place 6-8 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7 at 4646 Woodbine Road, Pace. Rick Ready, a local author, wrote the play; Michael Fletcher will direct it at the Imogene Theatre.

This is a list of the characters and their traits:

  • Moria Frazier (30 or older) — opinionated and outspoken; disillusioned. Has trouble keeping a job
  • Nick Rogers (30 or older) — Web designer who works from home; an introvert who is relationship challenged
  • Holly Honey (20 to 30) — former exotic dancer
  • Harry Canada (late 30s or older) — Founder of Pres of Soulmate Central; always looking for a get-rich scheme; on parole for scamming seniors out of their Social Security
  • Charlie Frazier (Giancarlo/Guillermo/Germain) — College graduate; intelligent, well-spoken, disillusioned and arrogant. Maître d'/waiter at three restaurants.
  • Mary Beth Morris (30s to 40s) — Born-again founder of the Second Creation Church
  • Flower Garden (30s to 40s) — Biker babe; a large buxom woman, with several conspicuous tattoos including one with blossoming flowers on her chest, and a tattoo on her arm that reads, "I killed my first husband."
  • Elaine Sealock: (30s to 40s) — librarian
  • Server 1: (25 or older) — male or female
  • Server 2: (25 or older) — male or female
