Dear editor,
We hold these tweets to be self-evident:
Global warming is a Chinese plot, so we should dismantle climate agreements and close the agency that enforces clean air and water regulations.
Vladimir Putin is a reasonable guy with whom we can successfully engage.
Vaccines cause autism, so we should stop vaccinations.
NAFTA has caused all our jobs to be outsourced to Mexico, so we should add a tax of 35 percent on all goods coming from Mexico.
Etc., Etc., Etc.
The last time the United States elected the most qualified businessman was in November of 1928, when we elected Herbert Clark Hoover to be the 31st president.
Then, on Oct. 29, 1929 — known as "Black Tuesday” — the stock market crashed and the Great Depression began.
Incidentally, Hoover was a wealthy man. He gave all his government paychecks to charity.
Will Donald John Trump do the same?
