Pace Band Boosters set Cajun Christmas Festival

PACE — The Pace High School Band Boosters will hold its first Cajun Christmas Festival.

The event is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Pace Athletic and Recreation Association fields, 5400-5551 Limbaugh Lane.

A 5K run/walk starts at 7 a.m. Costs are $20 through pre-registration and $25 the day of the event. The Mile Fun Run is $10. The Toddler Crawl is free to attend. T-shirts cost $15. Family discounts are available for the run. Organizers encourage runners to dress in Christmas attire such as ugly sweaters, Santa hats and Christmas skirts.

A vehicle check-in for the car and motorcycle show is set between 8 and 11 a.m., with judging at 11:30 a.m. and awards at 1 p.m. Door prizes, a silent auction and awards for the top 20 are scheduled. Costs include $15 for early entry and $20 for the day of the event.

Cornhole tournament registration is at 11 a.m. Pro costs are $20 per player and $35 for two-person teams. Rookie costs are $15 per player and $25 for two-person teams. Pro prizes include $300 for first place and $150 for second place. Rookie prizes are $150 for first place and $75 for second place. Registration includes the competition and a T-shirt if registered before Nov. 26.

Chloe Channell will hold a 4 p.m. concert. Post-concert VIP tickets cost $15 and include VIP seating, a meet and greet, and an autographed picture.

Area school bands and choral groups, such as the Pace High School Jazz Band and PHS Chorus, will perform, and Sims Middle School band and chorus, along with Pace Dance Studio, will perform.
