PACE — Anna Whitfield, a recent graduate of Pace High School, was one of six high achieving high school seniors to receive a $1,500 Farm Credit of Northwest Florida AgVocator Scholarship. FCNF’s chartered territory includes 18 counties in the Florida Panhandle.
The AgVocator Scholarship is given to encourage young AgVocators to use their talents to create stronger communities in the rural areas where they live. The recognized students are pursuing careers in agriculture, horticulture, forestry or a similar field and have proven their dedication to building stronger rural communities.
Whitfield has traveled numerous places around the world on mission trips. Helping others achieve their dreams is what motivates her.
Whitfield has held active leadership positions throughout her high school years including senior class treasurer, a member of the Foreign Language Club and the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
She will be attending Clemson University this fall majoring in bioengineering with a concentration in chemical engineering.
"Farm Credit of Northwest Florida is proud to acknowledge the impact the students have made and will continue to make on rural communities," President and CEO Rick Bitner said. "We wish them the best as they move into the next chapter of their lives and toward their chosen careers."
