2nd Annual Mary Stewart Fortune Fun Run set

PACE — The 2nd Annual Mary Stewart Fortune Fun Run is scheduled this weekend.

On-site registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run starts at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 at Benny Russell Park, 5417 W. Spencer Field Road, Pace.

Registration is available at Active.com. Entry fees are $30 for adults and children over 12 and $20 for children 12 and under. Event-day registration will be available first come, first serve. Event proceeds will help fund additions and improvements to the playground area.

The 4-mile run will begin at Benny Russell Park and proceed around the perimeter of the airfield along the sidewalk. Runners are encouraged to wear a favorite superhero costume. A bouncy house, concession and photos with Santa will be available in the playground area.

The park will not be closed, but substantial congestion is expected. Patrons will be directed to park at the Pace Community Church.
