Santa Rosa Education Foundation awards $68,000 in teacher grants

MILTON — Santa Rosa Education Foundation has awarded 68 teacher grants totaling $68,000 to Santa Rosa public educators. 

SREF, in partnership with the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations, the Florida Legislature, and grant program sponsors, is enabling teachers to implement grants that engage students in active learning while increasing student achievement in artistic literacy, career/technical education, literacy, and science, technology, engineering and math education.

Artistic Literacy Grant recipients include Stephanie Shaner, Berryhill Elementary; Stacey Price, SS Dixon Primary; Dorothy Castleberry, Gulf Breeze Elementary; and Jennifer Bunnell, Milton High.

Career/Technical Grant Recipients include Toni Baldwin, Bagdad Elementary; Keri Odom, Hobbs Middle; Cheryl Burt, Holley Navarre Intermediate; Junia Fischer, Jay High; Julie Bragg, Sims Middle; and Stacey Oatman, West Navarre Intermediate.

Literacy Grant recipients include Kaitlyn Floyd, Avalon Middle; Julie Brown, Berryhill Elementary; Tyler Moore, Central High; Paula Retzlaff, Central High; Brenda White, Chumuckla Elementary; Tally Hawthorne, SS Dixon Intermediate; Sheryl Dunne, Gulf Breeze Elementary; Dodi Stringfellow, Gulf Breeze Elementary; Joni Grissom, Holley Navarre Intermediate; Tammie White, Holley Navarre Intermediate; Lisa Murphey, Milton High; Jo Lynn Wiley, Milton High; Jennifer Fey, Navarre High; Caryn Bell, Pace High; Michelle Barlow, Pea Ridge Elementary; Codie-Jaclyn Huff, Pea Ridge Elementary; Miranda McElroy, Pea Ridge Elementary; Jan Rhodes, Pea Ridge Elementary; and Renee Goodson, Sims Middle.
