MILTON — The Panthers will celebrate their 2019 Homecoming on Nov. 1. The campus will bustle will many activities throughout the week, culminating in Friday's events: the Homecoming Parade, game, and crowning of the Homecoming Queen.
Homecoming fever has struck, as the classes and clubs are busy planning for the skit, float, car, and door competitions.
The Homecoming assembly will take place at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 29 in the James Rosser Gymnasium. Escapades, an event that showcases the club and class skits, is scheduled for the same date and location starting at 6:30 p.m.
On Oct. 31, the Panther student body will be entertained by the winning skits at the Homecoming Pep Rally, which begins at 2 p.m.
The week will come to a grand finish on Friday, Nov. 1, starting with the Homecoming Parade, which will begin at King Middle School at 10:30 a.m.
The parade route will travel south on Stewart Street, turn on Magnolia Street, then turn onto Byrom Street, proceed to Raymond Hobbs Street, and then turn back on Stewart Street. The parade will turn on Park Avenue and end in the south parking lot of the school.
That evening, the 2019 Homecoming candidates and class representatives will be introduced at pre-game, beginning at 7 p.m. During half time, Caroline Danielle Worrell, the 2018 Homecoming Queen, will crown the 2019 Homecoming Queen.
Milton sophomore Addison Stokes will serve as emcee for the evening's events.
