MILTON — This is a Naval Air Station Whiting Field Traffic Alert. Due to construction at the West (Main) gate, the East Gate will be the primary access point today until 6 p.m. Officials encourage all incoming traffic to use the East Gate to avoid traffic delays and internal traffic detours at the West (Main) Gate. Once on base, all exiting traffic will be required to exit via the East Gate.
The Child Development Center will remain open throughout the day. However, once children are dropped off or picked up, drivers will need to exit via the East Gate. Drivers may need to notify security personnel on station that they are heading to the CDC to gain access to the parking area.
