GULF BREEZE — Gulf Islands National Seashore announces the January ranger programs schedule. All programs are free and are subject to change without notification.
Advanced Redoubt: Legacy in Brick & Mortar: 12:30 p.m. Fridays through Wednesdays; meet at the entrance to Advanced Redoubt. 30-minute program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways and steps.
Fort Barrancas: Guardian of the Gulf: 2 p.m. Fridays through Wednesdays; meet at the Fort Barrancas Visitor Center. 30-minute program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways and steps.
Fort Pickens: Garrison for Freedom: Daily at 2 p.m.; meet at the entrance to Fort Pickens. 30-minute program involves walking on uneven surfaces, sandy walkways and steps.
Life on a Barrier Island: 12:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays; meet at the Fort Pickens Museum. 30-minute program; fun for families, but children must be accompanied by an adult.
Totally Turtles! 3:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Meet at the Fort Pickens Museum. 30-minute talk; accessible; fun for families, but an adult must accompany children.
Park offices will be closed on Jan. 16. There will be no programs on Jan. 23-27 and 30.
