Santa Rosa students earn dean’s list honors
MILTON — These Santa Rosa County residents have earned a position on the dean’s lists at various colleges:
- Claire M. Browning of Milton and Elliott T. Williams IV of Gulf Breeze made the dean’s list at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. Qualifying students earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework.
- Kristen Collinsworth, of Navarre, earned a spot on the Piedmont College dean’s list after completing the semester with a grade-point-average of 3.5 to 3.99 out of a possible 4.0. Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of more than 2,260 students, with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Ga.
- Jeremy A. Moncier, of Navarre, earned the honor at Columbia College’s Whidbey Island Campus in Oak Harbor, Wash. Qualifying students completed 12 semester hours in a 16-week period and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0-point scale.
- Allie McRae Smith, of Pace, achieved the honor at Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga. Smith is a class of 2017 student majoring in mass communication. Qualifying students maintained at least a 3.6 grade point average while carrying at least 15 semester hours of course work.
Local residents among college graduates
MILTON — These Santa Rosa County residents have graduated from college.
- Jordan Kristopher Leggett of Navarre graduated from Clemson University in South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management. Leggett was among more than 1,300 students who received degrees in the recent graduation ceremony at Littlejohn Coliseum.
- Rachel Shirey Harrod of Pace graduated from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., during recent commencement exercises. Harrod earned a Master of Public Health from the School of Public Health.
