Best-selling author James T. Farmer III will speak at the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Guild’s largest event of the season, the Magnolias and White Linen Luncheon.
The event is set March 1 at New World Landing in downtown Pensacola. Doors open at 10:30 a.m., with lunch served at 11:30 a.m. Tickets cost $50 per person. A book signing with the author will follow the luncheon.
Farmer is a Southern author, gardener, floral and interior designer, cook, and garden-to-table lifestyle expert. He knows how to incorporate elegant seasonal garden living into one's life, either on a grand scale or modest budget.
He authored the Wall Street Journal best-selling garden book, “A Time to Plant,” along with “Sip & Savor,” “Porch Living” and “Wreaths For All Seasons.”
Farmer's books are inspired by his life growing up on a farm, where farm-to-table was a lifestyle, not just a popular notion. In addition, Farmer is editor-at-large for Southern Living Magazine and is a frequent guest on radio and television shows, including NBC's “Today Show.”
The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra Guild supports the orchestra through personal involvement, fundraisers and promotion of season subscriptions.
