Give Trump a chance

Dear editor,

It’s 1 a.m. and I can’t sleep. The recent women’s marches worldwide reminded this octogenarian of my participation in three major marches/rallies years ago.

The first, organized by Pensacola patriot Nell Bell, of Women for Responsible Legislation, took us to Tallahassee. WRL, (which included) women of many denominations disappointed that churches weren’t taking a stand, was determined to defeat the ERA. We persevered; worked as if victory depended on us, believing God would give us the victory. He did that day! Florida was a key state.

The second was the pro-life march in Washington, D.C., against abortion. My choir buddy and I couldn’t find anyone in Milton going so we joined a Fort Walton group. It was exhilarating to see buses filled with people from all over the U.S. in solidarity. Hearing Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist par excellence, regretting performing abortions, was the highlight thereof!

The third event was traveling to Montgomery, Ala., with Pace Assembly of God members to support Judge Roy Moore, the giant Christian defending the Ten Commandments!

Wow! Another speaker there was Alan Keyes, the God-fearing, Christ-honoring believer and presidential candidate for whom I voted. By the way, he was defeated by Barack Hussein Obama in a senate race.

We attended all three events for causes near and dear to God. I don’t recall any ugliness demonstrated by some as in recent marches. No vitriolic statements, no expressions of hatred by some. No disgusting, shameful behavior by some like recent protestors! Were they anti-Trump or anti-“deplorables”? When Obama won, those who lost did none of the above; no sour grapes!

Sarah Palin would have been a great president, not vice president, but those campaign biggies stifled her. She had the fear (respect, awe) of God!

America’s destiny hangs in the balance.  Americans need to quit their bellyaching! They need to get together to give Trump a chance. Even Obama and Hillary said so!

God will not find us faultless in making America great again, a God-fearing nation.

Pence, a “Christian, conservative, Republican in that order,” is a God-thing too! Hopefully, he could rub off on Trump — Hallelujah!

God bless us all as only He can. Maranatha!
