PACE — The Clubhouse All Sports Training Facility, featuring indoor and outdoor facilities, is coming soon to Pace.
The clubhouse will offer a 19,500-square-foot training facility, as well as outdoor training grounds to include a Major League-style infield, partial football/soccer field, beach volleyball and a full-size basketball court. Indoor training will include a HitTrax Baseball Simulator, retractable batting cages, pitching lanes, automatic pitching machines, tumble lane and other training tools.
In addition to the training facilities, The Clubhouse has plans for a three-track after-school program, facility memberships, summer camps, sports clinics, athletic performance center, fan lounge and party rooms. It will also be the home of the Panhandle Athletics baseball organization, an elite travel baseball program.
A groundbreaking is set 2 p.m. Feb. 4 at Kendall Boulevard and West Spencerfield Road, approximately .5 miles north of Highway 90 and West Spencerfield intersection. Building and site renderings will be available during the event. Chicago Cubs Shortstop and Pace High School alumnus Addison Russell will be the special guest.
A portion of the facility, Champions Corner, will honor the accomplishments of Russell, who will receive full access to the facility for off-season training and conditioning.
