MILTON — Michael Moon, 31, of Milton received a careless driving citation following a two-car accident Tuesday morning.

Moon was traveling south around 5:49 a.m. in the inside lane on Avalon Boulevard in a 2013 Chevy pickup, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report. Collin Lynn May, 48, of Pensacola was traveling north driving a 2005 Chevy Malibu on the outside lane.

Moon lost control and crossed the grass median and into the northbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision with May, according to the report.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and alcohol was not a factor, according to the report. Moon’s injuries were minor but May’s were serious and she received treatment at Sacred Heart Hospital.
