PACE — Pace Rotary Club’s latest guest speakers were Bradford Price and Blake Weaver from In-Line Fitness.

Here are some facts that Rotary members learned from Price and Weaver:

  • Regular activity is vital to maintaining health and preventing diseases. It reduces stress, lowers anxiety and promotes sleep.
  • The release of endorphins during exercise boosts energy levels and makes people happier.
  • As the body begins to work more efficiently, metabolism improves and life span increases.
  • Risks of heart disease and stroke can significantly decrease when people participate in 30 minutes of physical activity per day.
  • When beginning an exercise routine, planning is crucial. Start with activities geared toward flexibility for 15 to 20 minutes per day four times per week. Avoid plateaus with steady weekly increases.
  • Regardless of skill level, optimal results occur when a workout routine includes activities from each of the four pillars: cardio, resistance, flexibility and balance.

Pace Rotary Club meets 7 a.m. Thursdays at Stonebrook Golf Club, 3200 Cobblestone Drive, Pace.
