MILTON — The Santa Rosa County Commission will host three public meetings in April to receive feedback on infrastructure needs and proposed projects to be funded by the local option sales tax.

Meetings are as follows:

  • 5-8 p.m. Monday, April 3, Chumuckla Community Center, 2355 Highway 182 in Jay
  • 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, Tiger Point Community Center, 1370 Tiger Park Lane in Gulf Breeze
  • 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, Santa Rosa Administrative Center, 6495 Caroline St. in Milton

The first hour of each meeting will begin with an open house format. Residents are encouraged to review resource materials related to the current needs list and provide written comments. Staffers will be available to answer any questions.

The board will convene at 6 p.m. to provide time for further public discussion and comment.

Over the next five years, the half-cent sales tax will provide funding for projects such as:

  • Law enforcement, fire and public safety facilities and equipment
  • Transportation and drainage improvements
  • Infrastructure projects and public facilities
  • Recreation/natural resources
  • Capital equipment
