MILTON — Upcoming Santa Rosa County events and activities are as follows.

SENIOR EXPO 2017: 8 a.m. to noon March 16 at the Guy Thompson Community Center, 5629 Byrom St., Milton. Santa Rosa Medical Center staff will provide free health screenings. Visit with a variety of local businesses and community organizations such as Shine, which serves health insurance needs of elders, and Legal Services of North Florida. American Red Cross will offer free smoke detectors. Emergency Operations Center will hand out information on how to stay safe during disasters. Assisted Living Locators is a free community-oriented service to assist seniors in locating the best elder care options, information and resources available.

DOWN TO EARTH MUD RACING: March 18 at 8860 Rooster Run Drive, Milton. Trucks careen, slide and splash through a mud course in one-on-one races, charging headlong to the finish line. Event repeats April 15, May 20 and June 17. Details: 698-0430, downtoearthmudracing@gmail.com.

SANTA ROSA WOMAN'S CLUB SPRING PLANT SALE: Shop for shrubs, bulbs, bedding plants and flowering plants from 8 a.m. to noon March 25 at the Gulf Breeze Middle School parking lot, 649 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze. GFWC Santa Rosa Woman’s Club, a nonprofit organization, sponsors the plant sale. The club will sell cuttings and plants from members’ gardens as well as bedding plants, shrubs, flowers and bulbs donated by area nurseries. ARTS AND CRAFTS VENDORS NEEDED: Jazz Pensacola needs vendors for the 2017 JazzFest, which takes place April 1-2 at Seville Square in downtown Pensacola. Download applications at jazzpensacola.com. HIGHWAY 29 MIRACLE MILE YARD SALE AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH: 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 8 at CrossFaith Church on Highway 29 in Molino.  

Event features fish fry dinners, crafts and vendor sales, face painting and free children's activities. These include supervised Mission Fishin', coloring contests, a petting zoo and bounce house inflatable. Hot dogs, snow cones, baked goods and other fare will be offered. Proceeds benefit Teen Challenge, global missions and youth ministries. Yard sale and vendor spaces are still available. Call 313-1406 for a registration forms.

BANDS ON THE BLACKWATER: 7-9 p.m. April 14, South Willing Street, Milton. Bring your family, friends and neighbors, along with a blanket or lawn chairs, to enjoy a night of music along the Blackwater River in downtown Milton. Free to attend. This series continues every Friday for the next 12 weeks of summer.

32ND ANNUAL NAVARRE FUN FEST: 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. April 29, Navarre Beach. This event, hosted by the area’s Chamber of Commerce, features local artisans, food, live music, face painting and crafts. Also includes a "Taste of Navarre Seafood" Chef's Challenge. Fireworks show begins at 9 p.m. Free to attend.
