PACE — A new Badcock Home Furniture and More store should open in September at 5367 Woodbine Road in Pace.
“We’re not closing the Milton store,” franchise owner John Wood said, adding he wanted to expand into Pace to better serve customers there.
“Pace (economy) has been like a rocket,” Wood said. “We do tremendous business here.”
The new 14,500-square-foot store will be on an acre and a half, according to Wood. It will be 2,000 square feet larger than the Milton store and will employ 12 to 15 people; the Milton store employs eight, according to Wood.
Badcock, in addition to name-brand furniture, sells appliances, home entertainment systems and bedding.
