MILTON — Karen Thornhill, Santa Rosa County Development Services' floodplain manager, spoke to the Sunrise Kiwanis Club about her job during a recent club meeting.
Thornhill’s responsibilities include maintaining map information and elevations, which she says is important because elevation information affects insurance rates.
Bonnie Holt, president of Santa Rosa Sunrise Kiwanis, presented Thornhill with the Milton Pride tag holder.
Sunrise Kiwanis meetings are set 7 a.m Wednesdays at Tanglewood Golf Course, 5916 Tanglewood Drive, Milton.
