Milton woman seeks beloved Nike Air high tops

Dear editor,

To the driver who saved my well-worn, brown, size 10, Nike Air high tops at the intersection of Stewart Street and Berryhill (April 5): I was standing in front of McKinely’s Sandwich Shop contemplating how I could Frogger my way through traffic to save my shoes without getting squashed by a semi — when you came along.

They've been my good buddies for about five years, and I am fond of them. Up until now, the feeling was mutual, although one never really knows.

I will apologize to them for leaving them on the top of my truck so carelessly. If they will take me back, I will promise to be more careful and appreciative.

Please drop them off at the State Farm Insurance office at that intersection. They will know the way home from there.

JANET SMITH
