A 71-year-old Milton man allegedly solicited an undercover Escambia County Sheriff’s Office deputy who was posing as a 12-year-old girl for sex over the internet.
Marion Dupont was arrested Monday and charged with cruelty toward a child, use of a computer to seduce, solicit or lure a child, traveling to meet after using a computer to lure a child and using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
He was booked into the Escambia County Jail with a $55,000 bond Monday, and county records indicated that he was released from custody Tuesday.
According to his arrest report, Dupont messaged an undercover ECSO deputy posing as a 12-year-old girl over social media on May 13. He allegedly asked for naked photos and offered money in exchange for sex.
Dupont reportedly offered to buy gifts in exchange for sexual favors, writing “I would get you a great cell phone, perfume, flowers, clothes, but you would have to treat me VERY good,” the report stated.
He also offered to pick the girl up, take her to a motel for two hours and “have her back home by the time the child’s parents were back,” the report stated.
Dupont arranged to meet the girl and was arrested by ECSO deputies when he arrived at the location.
