ESCAMBIA COUNTY — A 19-year-old Milton teenager was killed on Saturday after failing to maintain control of her vehicle in “adverse conditions,” according to Florida Highway Patrol.
According to a report from FHP, Allanah Sharee Simmons was driving a 2002 Mitsubshi Lancer on Detroit Avenue around 11:40 a.m. when she lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle then spun clockwise and traveled off the road onto the south shoulder where it struck a boulder. The impact caused the vehicle to spin around counterclockwise and get wedged between the boulder it struck and another boulder on the side of the shoulder.
Simmons was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital where she later died, the report said.
