Not too far into the American past, Mister Geppetto created Pinocchio while Edgar Bergan used Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd. More recently, Jeff Dunham has used Walter and Achmed while Donald Trump sometimes uses Mike Pence.
This is usually great entertainment, but you do have to remember who’s really doing the talking.
