Prayer breakfast leads MLK Day events

MILTON — The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast held Saturday Jan 12, at the county auditorium led the events for the MLK Day holiday.

"The event was very successful," Rev. Murray Hamilton said.

According to Hamilton, 175 people attended the breakfast. The Fellowship of Churches, with Hamilton coordinating, organized the breakfast. The event had music, signing, vendors and of course prayer.

Still to come are the Commemorative Program on Jan. 20 and the MLK parade and the block party on Jan. 21.
