Christianity – China vs USA

Dear editor,

Here’s the basic irony –  CHINA wants to persecute Christians for undermining their society – AND we care.  AMERICAN society is operating in a way that undermines Christianity – AND we don’t care.

In China (as well as many other areas of the world), there is always looming an overt or open movement to contain the spread of Christianity including the persecution of Christians. Christians in America clamor loudly about this ‘out of America’ experience. The American Christian answer is to send more missionaries out of America to quell this suppression and spread the ‘truth’ to cease all this persecution.

But in America, there is always an overt or open movement to spread all that is non-Christian (like get rid of the 10 Commandments) and therefore just let Christianity sink into a lesser and lesser role in American society (and it is shrinking). Most Christians in America are impervious to the need for — and unable to the (sic) necessity of — ‘joining together’ to stop this shrinking of Christianity in America.  Christians are too fractured and just don’t care much about America being a Christian nation. Few missionaries are sent to Washington DC to fight the covert sinking of Christianity.

It would be good to remember that God doesn’t protect those countries that do not believe in Him. A strong Christian America here would be the example that China would need to see to stop wanting to persecute Christians there. An America that was strong in Love (since God is Love) and strong in God’s laws (His 10 Commandments) would be the least we could do to help show China that Christianity works. The best to (sic) show someone else that Christianity is the answer is to be the best example of it.
