Jiu Jitsu Seminar for Hurricane Michael Relief

MILTON — Milton First Assembly of God at 6163 Dogwood Drive will be the site of the Brazilian jiu jitsu "Mega Seminar" benefitting victims of Hurricane Michael. At 9 a.m. Dec. 8, attendees will learn from guest instructors like Danny Ruiz, Daniel Silva, Tony Baker, David Fernandez, Tra Alidor, Anthony Mitchell, Sean Applegate, Chico Mendes, John Hanson, Anthony Benavente, Paul Domenech, Josh Mancuso, Erick Raposo, Jim Whyte and Jeff Cimmings. The $40 minimum donations 100 percent go to families and gyms affected by the hurricane. Organizers will take unwrapped Christmas gifts for children. Contact Tra Alidor at 572-1226 for information.

University of West Florida youth volleyball clinic

PENSACOLA — The University of West Florida volleyball team is going to hold its 2018 youth clinic to learn all the fundamentals of volleyball 5-7:30 p.m. this Sunday Dec. 9 in the UWF Field house. The clinic is $50 per participant and walk-ups are welcome, But pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Checks can be made out to ACE Volleyball. Jay Christmas Parade

JAY — The Town of Jay’s Christmas Celebration on Commerce Street will take place 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8. Commerce St. booths open at 8 a.m. The parade lines up at Jay City Park at 9 a.m. and starts at 10 a.m. Get pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus by Nichole Lewis Photography immediately after the parade. If you are interested in setting up a booth, call Jay city hall at 675-4556.

Pace Christmas Parade

PACE — The community of Pace Christmas Parade will take place at 11 a.m. on Dec. 8.  The parade will begin at Pace High School, proceeds on Norris Road to Chumuckla Highway, and turns south to Pace Road continuing east to Pace Boulevard.

Redneck Christmas Parade

MILTON — The family friendly redneck themed Christmas parade starts at 2 p.m. Dec. 8 at Southern Raceway in East Milton. There will be redneck themed events and live country music following the parade until 8 p.m.

Santa Rosa Democratic Women’s Club Christmas party

NAVARRE — The club will hold its annual Christmas party at 2 p.m. Dec. 13 at St. Augustine Church, Henderson Hall, 7810 Navarre Parkway. Tickets are $20 per person. This includes buffet dinner with dessert and drinks. RSVP by Dec. 7 with Margie Purkerson (850) 934-7931, margiep@bellsouth.net.

City of Milton Christmas Parade

MILTON — The city of Milton Christmas Parade has been rescheduled to Dec. 15, from 6 – 8 p.m. It is the largest holiday parade in Santa Rosa County with more than 60 entries, including many floats. The parade starts at the Milton Community Center on Byrom Street and proceeds north to James Street then East toward Stewart Street, ending on Elva Street. The event will feature a Christmas movies theme.
