MILTON — The Fraternal Order of Police lodge 123 announced their endorsement of Heather Lindsay for mayor. Lt. Jamie Kahalley and deputy first class Anna Jones presented the endorsement to Lindsay.

"She is the one more in tune with law enforcement's needs and the needs of the city," Kahalley said. "Especially in regards to public safety both fire and law enforcement."

The FOP has 22,000 members statewide and in Santa Rosa County, they represent the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office, Milton Police Department and corrections officers.

"I am honored to receive this endorsement," Lindsay said. "When I'm elected mayor I look forward to working with law enforcement and living up to this trust that has been given to me."

The FOP, through a press release, said Lindsay is a perfect fit for her community and the citizens of Florida. They believe that her dedication to serving her community will inspire others to lead the state in the right direction.
