Yard 'sale'

MILTON — Community of Christ church at 6656 Raymond Hobbs St. is holding a free yard sale but all items are free. It takes place 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 27. Voluntary donations are accepted. Limit 10 items per person.

St. Mary's Book Sale

MILTON — St. Mary's Episcopal Church is hosting a used book sale Sat., Oct.  27, from 9 to 11 a.m. The sale will be held in the church parish hall at 6849 Oak St. in Milton. Hardbacks are $1 each or paperbacks three for $1. Browse through a variety books on a broad range of subjects. Call 623-2905 for more information.

Bagdad Museum: Let's Talk History

MILTON — Bagdad Museum at 4512 Church St. will be open 9 a.m. to noon Saturday mornings the first four weekends in Novemeber. This will be an opportunity to discuss and ask questions about Bagdad’s history and current National Historical Registry designation as well as Bagdad’s historic land development code. Visitors can view a recently found and never on display 1858 British penny found in the front yard of the Beech House on Forsyth St. by a military mine detecting expert.

Family Promise Fall Sale

MILTON — The nonprofit Family Promise is holding a fall sale from 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 10 at its Milton Storage Center, 6065 Vanity Fair Road. There is a $3 entry fee payable by cash, credit and debit cards, or local checks. Items for sale include home wares, automotive items, clothing, furniture and electronics. Christmas Village Craft Fair

MILTON — The Masonic Lodge at 5158 Pike St is holding a Christmas Village craft fair 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. Art, craft items, gifts, food, and holiday décor will be available. The fair is sponsored by the Milton Eastern Star Chapter.

LEAD Academy FFA Harvest Celebration and Rodeo

CHUMUCKLA — LEAD Academy Classical School is pleased to announce the addition of a PCA Rodeo to their Annual Harvest Celebration, Nov. 16, and 17. The Rodeo is at Chumuckla Horse Arena 5976 Chumuckla Highway, Pace, adjacent to West Florida Soccer Club.

Santa Rosa Creek Tribe Pow Wow

MILTON — Nov. 17 and 18 is the 28th annual intertribal Santa Rosa Creek Tribe Pow Wow on the Santa Rosa Creek Tribe grounds at 4750 Willard Norris Road. The grounds will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the Saturday grand entry at 11 a.m. and Sunday grand entry at noon.

Admission and parking are free. There will be Native American drumming, singing and dancing. Feature food items will be Indian fry bread and roasted Indian corn. Seventy vendors of Native American arts, crafts and handmade goods will be there as well.

Jiu Jitsu Seminar for Hurricane Michael Relief

MILTON —Milton First Assembly of God at 6163 Dogwood Drive will be the site of the Brazilian jiu jitsu "Mega Seminar" benefitting victims of Hurricane Michael. At 9 a.m. Dec. 8, attendees will learn from guest instructors like Danny Ruiz, Daniel Silva, Tony Baker, David Fernandez, Tra Alidor, Anthony Mitchell, Sean Applegate, Chico Mendes, John Hanson, Anthony Benavente, Paul Domenech, Josh Mancuso, Erick Raposo, Jim Whyte and Jeff Cimmings. The $40 minimum donations 100 percent go to families and gyms affected by the hurricane. Organizers will take unwrapped Christmas gifts for children. Contact Tra Alidor at 572-1226 for information.
