PACE — Sims Middle School and SS Dixon intermediate were placed on a “soft” lock-down at 10 a.m. after the Santa Rosa County’s Sheriffs Office located a stolen vehicle in the area.
According to a press release from the SRCSO, the vehicle was driving in the area of Pace Patriot Blvd and Norris Road when the vehicle fled and the driver ran on foot.
SRSO Deputies, School Resource officers and an FWC helicopter deployed to the scene immediately. Additional Deputies deployed near school areas.
The suspect was captured at 10:49 a.m. by deputies and all schools were taken off of lock-down.
