MILTON — In the second week of West Florida Baptist Academy volleyball, the Conquerors faced the Trinitas Knights, the Santa Rosa Eagles, and traveled to Huntsville, Ala., for the Rocket City Blast tournament.

The Conquerors started off the week at home dropping JV and Varsity matches to the Knights: JV in split sets and Varsity in straight sets. The loss was followed by a split set JV loss at Santa Rosa and a straight Varsity victory.

A tournament ended the week in Huntsville with the Lady Conquerors finishing 4th of eight. After taking 2 of 3 in Friday's pool play, the Conquerors dropped a hard fought semi-final to the eventual runner-up and could not rebound in the 3rd place match, dropping split sets.

"What a great week that challenged this team. I'm excited about their progression and thankful for God's blessings of safe travel." Coach Robin Whiting said.

WFBA will visit the Patriots of Calvary Christian in Fort Walton on Friday.
